G. Sunbury County. County Seat - Oromocto
The parishes of this county as shown in Feg. 14 are. (1) Burton, (2) Lincoln, (3) Sheffield, (4) Maugerville, (5) Blissville, (6) Northfield and (7) Gladstone.
The following changes have been noted since the formation of Sunbury County.
1786 |
Establishment of the Parishes of Burton, Lincoln, Sheffield and Maugerville |
1834 |
Parts of Burton and Lincoln were yielded to creat the Parish of Blissfield. |
1857 |
Northfield Parish was formed from unassigned lands |
1874 |
Gladstone Parish was created from lands taken from Blissville. |
H. Northumberland County. County Seat - Newcastle.
The parishes of this county are: (1) Newcastle, (2) Alnwich, (3) Glenelg, (4)Chatham, (5) Nelson, (6) Ludlow, (7) Northesk, (8) Blissfield, (9)Blackville, (10) Hardwicke, (11) Derby (12) Southesk and (13) Rogersville. Fig. 15.

Formation of the Parishes of Wellington, Carleton, Saumarez, Bereford and Ludlow. Newcastle Parish was partitioned to form Glenelg and Nelson. Another portion of Newcastle plus some of Alnwick became Northesk. Chatham parish was created. |
1827 |
Wellington and Carleton became countries in the new County of Kent. Saumarez and Bereford became parishes in the newly created Gloucester County. |
1851 |
Hardwick Parish was set off from Glennelg |
1859 |
Derby Parish was formed from a portion of Nelson |
1879 |
Part of Northesk became known as the Parish of Southesk. |
1881 |
A portion of Nelson became Rogersbille Parish. |
1900 |
A part of Glennelg was set off to increase the size of Rogersville Parish. |

The Parishes of Harcourt and Saint Mary yielded territory to establish Saint-Paul |

WANTED: People interested in forming a genealogical association with the intention of becoming a branch of the NEW BRUNSWICK GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY. The groundwork has been laid and a minimum of fifteen additional members are requiresd to achieve this aim.

27b.Where did HENRY GREEN and wife MARY (probably MITCHELL) live before settling in the present Parish of Wicklow about 1802? Who were their parents?
